Bridges of London Walk 27th April 2008

Several members of Options had a lovely day completing this charity walk with a substantial amount of money being raised for Kay's LD Youth Club - Sara went to the Youth Club on Thursday 8th May and handed the money over. With a fairly early start we met up at Tower Hill and started walking and just carried on walking... though we did manage some lunch! Unfortunately the main group of walkers (Maureen, Trevor, Tony, Sharon and Sara} never did get to meet up with fellow walkers Andrea and Jim. Kay was on route in her official capacity as organiser and mid-way we met up for a short while with her and a group of the young people taking part - though this had to be under a bridge as our planned meeting site under the London Eye was not possible due to one of the heavy cloud bursts that day. Generally though the weather was good for a long walk and countless photos were taken.

A really good day in good company and many laughs and lots of money going to such a great group of kids. This is an annual MENCAP event and here's to next years walk!
