Walks with Stella

First Stella arranged a 5 mile walk in the Ingrebourne Valley on Sunday 7th Jan. This was followed by Sunday lunch at the Optimist P.H. Hacton Lane Hornchurch. This was a great success. It was a dry day but past rain had caused some footpaths to be under water. Those taking part were Stella, Lynne M, Pam, Ron, Val, Barry, Emily (with dog Trixi), Steve and Peter. We liked it so much we all wanted to do it again.

On Sunday the 4th Feb. Stella arranged a repeat walk. This again was in the Ingrebourne Valley with a few changes to the previous walk. This turned out to be 6 miles. Weather was fine and we had a bigger turn out. Those taking part were, Stella, Andrea, Jan, Keith, Steve, Lynn F, Lynne M, Val, Barry, Sue, Helen, Sylvia, Pam, Ron, Wendy, Graham, Doug and Peter. Emily & dog Trixi were delayed by work commitments. She tried to find us without success. We must exchange mobile numbers to avoid this happening again. Most of us returned to the Optimist where we were joined by Eileen and John for Sunday Lunch. A good event, enjoyed by all. Again we asked Stella to organize a similar event. Stella thinks next month will be a London South bank Thames walk.
