Caramelised Onion Bread
Page 418 in the Bread and Bread Machine Bible.
Ingredients
- 50g Butter
- 2 Onions
- 280 ml Water
- 1 tbsp (20g) Honey
- 450g White Bread Flour
- 1 ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Pepper
- 1 ½ tsp Yeast
Method
Melt the butter in a frying pan, and fry the onions on a low heat until golden brown.
Meanwhile, add the other ingredients to the bread machine tray in the usual order.
The original recipe used the dough setting, but I used the normal bread setting.
Added the cooked onions when the machine bleeps.
