Corn Meal Bread
Page 320 in the Bread and Bread Machine Bible.
As usual, I only make a small loaf of Bread here.
Ingredients
- 150ml Water
- 75 ml Milk
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 275g White Bread Flour
- 100g Corn Meal
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 Light Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Yeast
- Water fo glazing
- Polenta for sprinkling.
Method
- Pour the liquids into the bread pan.
- Add the flour and corn meal.
- Add the sugar and salt into the corners.
- Add the yeast into a hollow in the center.
- Start the machine.
- Just before the baking cycle starts, glaze the top with water and sprinkle with polenta.
