Fruity Frozen Yoghurt
Ingredients
- 200g Greek Yoghurt
- 500g Fruit (I used Raspberry and Blackberry)
- 100g Caster Sugar
Ad-Hoc Version
Without paying attention to a recipe :
- 1kg (2 tubs) Yoghurt
- 200g Caster Sugar
- 600g Blackberry
The fruit/yoghurt ratio is VERY different. It tastes good though!
Method
- Blend the fruit and strain through a cloth to remove the seeds.
- Mix the fruit juice with the yoghurt, and add the sugar.
- Mix in an ice cream maker for 15-30 minutes.
Serve immediately, or place into a freezer.
Notes
This won't keep in the freezer as long as shop-bought products. Consume within a week.
I didn't have caster sugar, so I ground some granulated sugar myself. The mixture was initially a little crunchy, but on completion, there was no sign of sugar crystals. So maybe regular sugar would work just as well.
