Poppy Seed Loaf
A loaf of Bread with poppy seeds throughout. Page 388 of the Bread and Bread Machine Bible.
Ingredients
- 180ml Milk
- 60ml Water
- 20g Butter
- 375g White Bread Flour
- 3 tbsp Poppy Seeds
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Yeast (Rapid Rise)
Method
Place all of the ingredients into the tin, following your machine's rules. This usually means the liquids go first. As usual, keep the sugar and salt well away from the yeast.
Set the machine to basic 1lb loaf (small), and press start.
Just before the Baking Cycle begins (when the dough has risen), brush the top of the loaf with egg white and water.
