Vegetable Chilli




  • Mix the onions, garlic, celery, green pepper, mushrooms and courgettes in a saucepan.
  • Add the kidney beans, tomatoes, passata, tomato purée and ketchup.
  • Add the spices, salt and pepper.
  • Mix well
  • Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 20 - 30 minutes stirring occasionally, till the veg is just tender.
  • Meanwhile cook some rice!!!
  • Serve immediately with natural yogurt sprinkled with cayenne pepper. Garnish with coriander sprigs.


We made Raita instead of plain yogurt.
