Height: 30cm. Position: Full Sun. Spacing: 20-30cm.

Indoor Sowing
Sow thinly in pots or tray or moist compost. Cover lightly with compost. Form gently and cover with clear glass or polythene. Keep at 15-20 C and keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days.
Growing On
Remove cover when seedlings appear. Thin plants to further pots or trays if necessary.
To grow outdoors, stand outside for a few days in late May (avoid frosts), then transplant 20cm apart in final position.
To grow indoors, transplant to 15cm pots of compost. Place in a light airy location.
Outdoor Sowing
Sow thinly in the growing position. Cover with fine soil. When large enough, thin to 20cm apart.
Harvesting
Pick the leaves as required all year round for indoor plants, from June onwards for outdoor plants.
