French Marigold
My Dad's favourite.
Every year, he would grow masses French Marigolds, Alyssum and Salvia, all from seeds collected the previous year. Planted in neat lines all around the gardens (front and back).
He saw some bright yellow French Marigolds on one of his walks, and went back to collect the seeds later in the season. Years later, we are still using that unknown variety.
