Outdoor Sowing
Sow thinly direct into 25cm pots for baby leaves, or in a prepared seed bed in rows 23cm apart. Cover with 0.5cm of fine soil and firm gently. Seedlings usually appear in 7-21 days. For continuous crops, sow every 2-3 weeks. Protect late sowings with cloches.
Growing On
When large enough, thin to 5cm apart. Keep moist and weed free.
Harvesting
Pick individual leaves as required. Take a few leaves from each plant, they will regrow for up to 4 cuts.
