Crispy Rice Squares
See also Chocolate Krispies (a recipe from my childhood).
Ingredients
- 60g unsalted Butter
- 3 table spoons Golden Syrup
- 100g Dark Chocolate
- 90g Crispy Rice Cereal
Method
- Melt the chocolate in small bursts in the microwave or over a bain marie
- Add the butter, cut into small pieces, stir until melted
- Add the syrup and stir
- Add the crispy rice cereals and stir gently
- Spoon in to 12 bun cases
- Leave to cool, and then place in the fridge.
Comments
I found I needed to add more crispy rice than stated in the recipe.
Instead of individual bun cases, I pressed the mixture into a square dish and then cut into squares once cold.
