Crispy Rice Squares

See also Chocolate Krispies (a recipe from my childhood).



  1. Melt the chocolate in small bursts in the microwave or over a bain marie
  2. Add the butter, cut into small pieces, stir until melted
  3. Add the syrup and stir
  4. Add the crispy rice cereals and stir gently
  5. Spoon in to 12 bun cases
  6. Leave to cool, and then place in the fridge.


I found I needed to add more crispy rice than stated in the recipe.

Instead of individual bun cases, I pressed the mixture into a square dish and then cut into squares once cold.
