Light Wholemeal Bread
Page 319 in the Bread and Bread Machine Bible.
As usual, I only make a small loaf of Bread here.
Ingredients
- 280ml Water
- 250g Wholemeal Bread Flour
- 125g White Bread Flour
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 tsp Sugar
- 20g Butter
- 1 tsp Yeast
Method
- Put all ingredients in the bread tin in the order listed.
- Make a well in the centre of the flour and pour in the yeast
- Select the 1lb basic white setting, and press start
Notes
Interesting that it uses less yeast than the Egg Bread, but contains more flour.
My 1st attempt came out near perfect, the only criticism was the crust was too soft. I'll try less fat next time.
